About

A little more about me

I've loved design and programming for about as long as I can remember. In middle school, I asked for Photoshop for Christmas one year, and around the same age I taught myself to code just to see what I could make. I never really stopped.

I also spent ten years working in restaurants, and it still shapes how I design. I know what it feels like to use a slow, confusing system in the middle of a rush, with someone waiting on the other side of it. Those years made me pretty calm when things get busy.

At a healthcare software startup, I worked closely with product managers, engineers, and clinical staff to design for admissions teams who were juggling four different systems just to bring one patient in. Making their day easier is the kind of work I want to keep doing. I have a master's in Human-Computer Interaction Design from Indiana University, and these days I'm especially curious about designing AI experiences that people can actually trust.

Away from the screen, you'll find me reading, making pottery, and tending to my house plants.
